I’m your tutor, Dr. Andrew Campbell. I’m delighted that you’re interested in learning with me!
I’ve worked as a professional and volunteer tutor since 1985, with students ranging from age six to age seventy-six. My areas of specialization are writing (composition), literature, and foreign languages, both ancient and modern. In addition to tutoring, I’ve been employed as a classroom teacher of German, classical languages, and humanities and as a private school administrator. Alongside teaching, I’ve worked as an editor since 1993, helping fiction and nonfiction writers create clear, consistent, and correct text for publication. I also translate contemporary literary fiction from German to English. I’m the author of a number of education-related books and have had several poems and short stories published in print and online literary magazines. If it has to do with language, I’ve probably done it!
If you’d like to know more about my academic background and teaching experience, please download my CV. To learn more about the classical curriculum I publish, including the elementary Latin program I Speak Latin, visit the curriculum area of this site. My classical homeschooling guide, The Latin-Centered Curriculum, is out of print, but copies can still be found through Amazon Marketplace and other used book venues.
I live in Orlando, Florida, with my wife, our adult daughter, and two very spoiled cats.
